Exciting contract opportunity to join the team managing this major household food brand, engaging consumers and shoppers with compelling strategic and tactical marketing initiatives. Flexible working with 2 days/week office, and external meetings.
Smart, commercially savvy, brand passionate marketer needed now for this exciting contract role, driving the strategy for a major UK brand, enjoyed daily in millions of households. Working for this major FMCG company, part of a £4bn FMCG multinational, you’ll manage all aspects of the marketing mix from strategy to execution, developing compelling initiatives to build consumer & shopper engagement, brand penetration and loyalty in what is a highly-competitive and busy category with multiple SKUs. This will include developing the activation plan for the brand across all media, working with internal stakeholders, customers and agencies as you deliver short-term and longer-term consumer marketing and innovation initiatives, including the digital and social media agenda.
Specific responsibilities include
Owning, developing and executing the brand marketing & activation plan, including packaging, product, pricing and promotional activity, working with commercial, category and operational teams.
Management of all external agency relationships across advertising, media, digital, PR and packaging design.
Leading cross functional teams todeliver brand strategy, innovation and comms initiatives, executing this acros sall elements of the marketing mix.
Working collaboratively with all business functions to deliver the annual brand plan and build longer term brand strategies that drive real growth.
Living and breathing the brand vision with real strategic and commercial ownership of the brand.
Skills & Experience Checklist
Strong influencing and communication skills, as well as the ability to coordinate and deliver multiple projects effectively.
Proven ability to develop compelling consumer comms and brand building initiatives across all media.
Hands-on experience of successfully managing and launching NPD and EPD projects.
Exceptional project management skills and ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
Ability to distil complex information into inspiring stories.
Adept at giving impactful presentations and taking the initiative to advance projects without supervision.
Experience in the management of and developing content for social media.
A great creative eye with the ability to think laterally and creatively – always looking for new ideas and approaches.
Commercial savvy and strong analytical thinking skills with a good grasp of P&Ls and insight data.
